Our Company Team

The Apple Video team consists of industry veterans and upcoming professional film makers from across the North West.
Our team ensures that each client is treated as an individual, with their productions being as unique as them. For the life of the project and beyond they are adopted into the Apple Video family.
Paul Cragg - Director of Production
Paul's artistic talent was detected at an early age and at 13 he was transferred to a specialist art school. It was here whilst studying all forms of art, that he first developed an interest in photography and filmmaking.
After finishing his college studies in Graphics, Film Making and Fashion Design he worked for several years as a graphic artist in a commercial studio and then as a fashion designer for two large clothing manufacturers. He then decided that he would like to pursue more seriously his interest in film making, and formed Apple Video in 1988.
Paul is a member of the Institute of Videography, now known as the IOV, which he joined back in 1989 when it was only a small organization, becoming a master member a few years later, of what is now, one of the largest recognised Industry Institutions for video producers in the UK.
It is Paul's artistic talent, technical ability and insistence on perfection that has made Apple Video so successful, and earned us the reputation of being probably the best video company in the area. This was further endorsed by the award of the IOV Best Non Linear Edit in 1999, and Best Post Production and Best Camera Craft Awards in 2000.
Pamela Holt - Accounts & Administration
Pamela is responsible for the administration, management and accounting functions of the business.
For 20 years Pamela was employed in professional accountancy practises, until December 1994 when she finally left her position as a Senior Audit Manager with an 8 partner firm of Chartered Accountants, where she had been responsible for 11 professional staff and over 200 clients ranging from small businesses to large corporate concerns with Multi £M turnovers. Her great strength in the accountancy field is systems development and management and taxation, in which she has recently lectured at degree level.
With the expansion of Apple Video it had become necessary for Pamela to spend much more time dealing with it's affairs. She was reluctant to give up her professional career altogether, and accordingly has now found a part-time professional appointment which allows her to spend 3-4 days a week dealing with the affairs of Apple.
James Pope - Filming & Post Production
James has always been interested in films and film making, so much so that in his teens, he joined a local amateur film club to learn the practical skills that he had seen applied so many times in his vast movie collection. Since then, he has won numerous film competitions at the club, as well as national and international awards, including 3 awards for Best Filming, Best Editing and Best Production at the International Film Festival in Stoke, and Film of the Festival, Best Use of Sound, and Best Titles and Graphics at the North West IAC Film Festival.
After gaining an A grade at Turton Sixth Form while studying A-Level Media Studies, James then went on to Salford University to study TV Production, where, after three years of study, gained a 2:1 and recognition as the first ever first year student to have had a short film project broadcast on Channel M.
Mere months after graduating from Salford University, James then began work at Apple Video Facilities and has been honing and developing his craft ever since, teaching himself and subsequently other members of staff in depth video production programs, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects, and since joining us in March 2004 James has become our senior editor, specialising in graphics, animation and special effects.
Aaron Rogerson - Editor
Like Paul, Aaron is very artistic. He joined us on a part time basis while at University studying Media Writing and Production in September 2009. He soon discovered that he was learning more from Apple Video than through his studies and left University to become a full time member of staff in January 2010.
As a self confessed film and video geek (winning every week at the local film quiz), Aaron's knowledge of the industry and of the latest techniques and innovations is second to none and has proved invaluable during the time he has been with us. This together with his editing and design skills means he has fit perfectly into the team strengthening even further our already successful unit.
